In July 2006 a group of doctors working in Queensland of Pakistani origin got together in Gold Coast, to form an association called APDOQ. APDOQ’s main goal is to bring doctors of Pakistani origin, together to improve networking amongst them, to have a platform where they can socialize and above all to lend a helping hand to all the newly arriving Pakistani doctors.
It would not be possible to set up an association like this without the help, sincerity and support of many of our friends, Some of them deserve a special mention.

Dear Members of the APDOQ,
It is with great honor and privilege that I address you as the President of the Association of Pakistani Doctors Queensland (APDOQ). As stewards of healthcare excellence and advocates for our community, we stand united under the banner of service, solidarity, and progress.
Our foremost goal is unity. In a profession as noble as ours, cohesion is paramount. Together, we are stronger, more resilient, and better equipped to tackle the challenges that lie ahead.
Education stands as another cornerstone of our mission. By fostering a culture of education and professional development, we empower ourselves and our colleagues to deliver the highest standards of care to our patients.
Moreover, the APDOQ serves as a platform for networking, collaboration, and mentorship. Through meaningful connections and shared experiences, we cultivate a vibrant community of doctors dedicated to excellence in practice and service.
We also recognize the importance of nurturing the next generation of healthcare leaders. Our commitment to helping young doctors navigate the complexities of their profession is unwavering. By providing guidance, support, and opportunities for growth, we ensure a bright and promising future for the medical fraternity.
Furthermore, we must endeavor to avoid further divisions within our ranks. In a diverse and multicultural society like ours, unity in diversity is our strength. By embracing our differences and celebrating our shared humanity, we forge bonds that transcend boundaries and foster harmony.

APDOQ elections will be held every two years. Elections will be conducted by a secret ballot.
